About
The technical partner behind the room
Skidson designs, supplies, installs and supports show control, lighting, sound and video as one integrated system, for architects, interior builders, installers, project management firms and museum and exhibition builders. Restaurant, bar and club owners we gladly help with the right products and partners.
01, Who we are
Skidson is a technical studio for everyone who builds or runs spaces where light, sound and image make the difference. We are the technical partner for architects, interior builders, installers, project management firms and museum and exhibition builders, and we gladly help restaurant, bar and club owners with the right products and partners. Where most projects treat lighting, sound, video and control as four separate trades, we treat them as one system. We sit between the creative vision and the technical reality, and we take responsibility for the part that has to actually work when the doors open.
02, What we believe
A space is not a set of separate installations that happen to share a room. It is one experience. When the light, the audio and the video are designed and controlled together, a room can shift its whole atmosphere in a single cue, and the people who run it never have to think about the technology underneath. That is the standard we build to, every time.
03, How we work
We start from the space and how it will be used, not from a product list. From a concept or a brief we design the system, specify the hardware, program the control layer, install it on site, and stay available afterwards. The result is meant to be operated by the people who use the room every day, without technical know-how and without a specialist on call.
04, Who we work with
We work with architects and interior builders who want the technical layer to disappear into the design, and with museum and exhibition builders who need per-fixture control and repeatable scenes. For installers and project management firms we supply design, equipment and programming as a subcontractor or supplier, so they can offer the lighting and AV scope with confidence. And we gladly help restaurant, bar, club and shop owners with the right products and the right partners, so light, sound and video set the right tone at every moment of the day and night.
05, Where we work
We are based in the Netherlands and work across the country, with projects in and around Utrecht, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Get in touch at info@skidson.nl or on +31 (0)30 792 0000.
